FAQ

Q: Do you have a guide for Exporting SWF out of Adobe InDesign?
A: We have a preparation guide for Adobe InDesign here

Q: I thought we needed a Flash coder to do this stuff?
A: No! This is a direct export out of Adobe InDesign with no Flash coding at all. Because you are exporting directly out of InDesign and not going via JPEG or PDF - your document looks great. It really is as simple as is appears!

Q: Can we use Adobe InDesign CS3 to create content for Documents Online?
A: Yes, but you will need to open the document in Adobe InDesign CS4 or CS5 to add interactivity and then Export to SWF.

Q: We don't have the page curl effect on our Document. What do we need to do?
A: Go back into InDesign and go to the Pages pallete, pop out the pallete menu and choose Page Transitions. From there, choose Page Turn and make sure it is applied to all spreads. (Tickbox) Export again to SWF.

Q: What page sizes are best for Documents Online?
A: While most pages will be fine, you may want to test your document inside the free trial if it is an unusual size. Generally portrait pages are the best fit. Choosing a height of 630 pixels during export is a good standard practice.

Q: What kind of interactivity can I add to my Documents?
A: With Adobe InDesign CS4 you can hyperlink images and text to websites and add buttons. (See Window Menu->Interactive). With Adobe InDesign CS5, you can create animations, embed Flash movies, add buttons, hyperlinks and much more!
